How you can help out
The Dartmouth Regatta has been bringing people together in Dartmouth for generations, creating memorable events for the town, the river and our wider community. The Regatta is entirely run by volunteers and supported by the generosity of sponsors and donations. Quite simply, it couldn’t happen without people giving their time and energy.
If you enjoy being part of a friendly team and would like to play a role in delivering one of Dartmouth’s most important annual events, we would love to hear from you.

Regatta Hosts
Regatta Hosts are the friendly face of the Dartmouth Regatta. They help visitors and locals alike enjoy the event by answering questions, giving directions, and providing general assistance across Regatta sites. Whether it’s helping someone find a venue, understand the programme, or offering support where needed, these volunteers play a key role in ensuring everyone has a safe, enjoyable and well-organised Regatta experience.
Time commitment:
Flexible and negotiable depending what time you can spare
What You’ll Get in Return
In addition to the satisfaction of being part of Dartmouth’s premier event, as a thank you, volunteers can expect a range of small perks during the Regatta — such as ice creams, drinks, pasties and other treats — with more details confirmed closer to the event.
There will also be a thank-you celebration during the Regatta.
Most importantly, volunteering means being part of the amzing team helping to deliver an event that is central to Dartmouth’s community life and enjoyed by ten’s of thousands each year and helps to put the town on the map.
