REGATTA FUN

The beautifully landscaped Royal Avenue Gardens located in the centre of town overlooking the river and inner harbour provide a stunning backdrop for land and water-based activities throughout the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.

The Victorian bandstand and stage host the prestigious opening ceremony and a full programme of traditional family entertainment, competition and live music. Everything you need for a perfect family day out.

Our traditional Regatta Dog Show also takes place in its new time slot of Wednesday 27th August. We have lots of classes to enter, lots of dogs, and lots of prizes! Simply turn up with your four-legged friend.

For times of events  – pick up a programme from the Information Hut or plan ahead and buy one from one of our local stockists or buy online (coming soon)

ACTIVITY ALL WEEK

SPOT THE ODDITY

All week Explore Dartmouth the best way – on foot – peering into our towns shop windows. Another unique event to the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. From Wednesday, pick up your Spot the Oddity entry form for £2 from the Information Hut in Royal Avenue Gardens, and race to find the ‘oddities’ in the windows of participating businesses.

Some will be extremely easy, and others require a little more patience and an eagle eye to spot! Please be respectful of the windows of Dartmouth’s businesses – some are incredibly old (no leaning against them to write your answers please).

All entries received by 5pm Regatta Friday will be in the competition.

Winners announced 8pm at the Bandstand on Saturday 29th August

KIDS COLOURING COMPETITION

Love colouring?  Simply pick up a drawing sheet from either the Dartmouth Yacht Club on South Embankment. Available from Saturday 22nd August.

Or the Regatta Information Hut in Royal Avenue Gardens, and go for it!  You can be as outrageous (or subtle) with colour and design as you wish.

All entries will be displayed in the Dartmouth Yacht Club Gun Room from late on Friday afternoon, and the winning entries will be on show in their front windows.
