THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (PORT OF DARTMOUGH ROYAL REGATTA, DARTMOUTH) ORDER 2025
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
From SATURDAY 23 AUGUST 2025
for a maximum of 9 days
Anticipated Finish SUNDAY 31 AUGUST 2025
Between the hours of 19:00 on Monday 25 August 2025 and 23:59 on Sunday 31 August 2025 when the appropriate road traffic signs are in place
No person shall except with the permission of a Police officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of roads.
NORTH EMBANKMENT, RALEIGH STREET, SMITH STREET, SOUTH EMBANKMENT AND SPITHEAD.
The one way system on the Affected Roads will be suspended FAIRFAX PLACE, MAYOR’S AVENUE AND THE QUAY.
The one way system on the Affected Road will be reversed HAULEY ROAD.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time HAULEY ROAD, HIGHER STREET, SOUTH EMBANKMENT, THE QUAY AND CASTLE ROAD.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time on the sections of the following Affected Roads COLLEGE WAY, DUKE STREET, FAIRFAX PLACE, MAYOR’S AVENUE, NEWCOMEN ROAD, NORTH EMBANKMENT, RUE DE COURSUELLES SUR MER, SMITH STREET, SOUTH EMBANKMENT, SPITHEAD, THE QUAY AND TOWNSTAL ROAD.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except in marked bays LOWER STREET.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for buses RUE DE COURSUELLES SUR MER.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for Disabled Badge Holders VICTORIA ROAD AND SOUTH EMBANKMENT.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for Regatta Rowing Permit holders RUE DE COURSUELLES SUR MER.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for coaches
COLLEGE WAY.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for Licenced Hackney Cariages
MAYORS AVENUE – in marked bays outside property 2 Mayors Avenue
Between the hours of 08:00 on Saturday 23 August and 23:59 on Sunday 31 August 2025 no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for permit displaying emergency service providers and musicians
MAYORS AVENUE – East side from a point outside Royal Avenue Gdns to Visitor Centre
Between the hours of 12:00 and 23:59 from Wednesday 27 August to Sunday 31 August 2025 when the appropriate road traffic signs are in place
No person shall except with the permission of a Police officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of roads.
MARKET STREET. The alternative route will be signed on the day.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable –
