Whilst Rowing and Sailing are at the very core of the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, its the Volunteers and Friends who make it happen.
Our Friends and Volunteers come from the Town as well as from far and wide to help organise and energise this fabulous event.
Volunteers
Its our Volunteers who make the event run so smoothly. They do everying from setting up to taking down, and everything inbetween.
Volunteers can turn their hands to anything; whether its making tea, selling programmes or merchandise, answering visitor questions or running events.
It is as rewarding as it is fun, so if you would like to help make Regatta 2026 an event to truly remember, please get in touch!

Friends of regatta
For an annual donation, you will not only receive membership of an exclusive club, knowledge that you have made an enduring commitment to help the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, but also recognition of your support. With a minimum annual standing order of £25, for which you will receive:
- An exclusive annual supporters’ badge
- An early programme (as soon as we get them from the printers, before they go on general sale)
- The option of listing your name in the programme as a ‘Friend of Regatta’ – this is entirely your personal choice.
Becoming a Friend of the Regatta is an easy way to help support this amazing event.
