THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (PORT OF DARTMOUTH ROYAL REGATTA,

DARTMOUTH) ORDER 2026

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

From SATURDAY 22 AUGUST 2026

for a maximum of 9 days

Anticipated Finish SUNDAY 30 AUGUST 2026

Between the hours of 23:30 on Monday 24 August and midday on Sunday 30 August 2026 when the

appropriate road traffic signs are in place

No person shall except with the permission of a Police officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement

Officer cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads except for access

to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of roads NORTH EMBANKMENT AND SOUTH

EMBANKMENT.

The one way system on the Affected Roads will be suspended MAYOR’S AVENUE AND THE QUAY.

The one way system on the Affected Road will be reversed SPITHEAD

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time THE QUAY WEST SIDE ONLY

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time on the sections of the

following Affected Roads COLLEGE WAY, DUKE STREET, , MAYOR’S AVENUE, NORTH

EMBANKMENT, THE QUAY EAST SIDE AND TOWNSTAL ROAD FROM THE JUNCTION WITH

COLLEGE WAY TO JUNCTION WITH WESSEX WAY.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for goods

vehicles on the sections of the following Affected Roads FAIFAX PLACE

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for public

service buses RUE DE COURSUELLES SUR MER.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for Disabled

Badge Holders SOUTH EMBANKMENT.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for coaches

COLLEGE WAY SOUTH SIDE.

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for permit

displaying emergency service providers and regatta performers.

MAYORS AVENUE (FLAVEL PLACE)

Between the hours of 08:00 on Saturday 22 August and midday on Sunday 30 August 2026 No person

shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait, load or unload at any time except for Regatta Rowing

Permit holders RUE DE COURSUELLES SUR MER.

Between the hours of 12:00 and 23:59 from Wednesday 26 August to Sunday 30 August 2026 when the

appropriate road traffic signs are in place

No person shall except with the permission of a Police officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement

Officer cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads except for access

to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of roads when signing is in place.

MARKET STREET, VICTORIA ROAD AND DUKE STREET.. The alternative route will be signed on the day.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable –
