DARTMOUTH PARK & RIDE

For visitors arriving by road from the Kingsbridge and Totnes area, along the A3122, the best parking option is in the Park and Ride, which is situated on the road approaching Dartmouth, opposite Sainsbury’s and adjacent to the Leisure Centre.

This Park and Ride is operated by South Hams District Council and there is a regular bus service into town, from the right hand side upon entering town, bus stops will be well signposted in town. As a reminder to South Hams residents who have purchased an annual Park and Ride permit, the Dartmouth Park and Ride is included during the Regatta Period.

Business and Mayor’s Avenue SHDC Permits may also be used. For further detailed information on permit validity, times and pick up locations, please contact SHDC direct https://www. southhams.gov.uk/article/3066/Dartmouth-Park-and-Ride

There is also NO town centre parking in Kingswear available during Regatta. If you are travelling by road from the Torbay area, it is recommended to travel by bus or by steam train (from Paignton).

Many of the roads both in Kingswear and Dartmouth will be changed to ‘CLEARWAYS’ and form part of an emergency access plan; therefore there is no parking permitted at any time.

All of the SHDC Dartmouth Park and Ride busses are ‘kneeling buses’ to enable easier access.
