We’re proud to announce that the Dartmouth Regatta is once again pursuing Platinum Clean Regatta certification—our third consecutive year striving for the highest recognition from Sailors for the Sea’s Clean Regattas programme. As part of the broader Clean Class Initiative, our regatta plays a key role in reinforcing an environmentally conscious culture across the class—not just for one event, but year-round commitment.
What Makes It Platinum-Level?
Being designated a Clean Regatta—especially at the Platinum level—means we’re going above and beyond in reducing environmental impact. We’re setting clear, consistent expectations for all participants, organisers, and partners to uphold sustainable best practices
Here’s how we’re tackling this goal:
Providing easy access to refillable water stations, encouraging reusable bottles to minimise single-use plastic.
Offering recycling and compost bins, and using only compostable or reusable serviceware.
- Engaging volunteer “Green Teams” to oversee sustainability efforts on-site and assist participants.
