BOWLS DRIVE FRIDAY 29th AUGUST
Organised by Dartmouth Bowling Club, starting at 9.30 a.m. (sign in 9.15 a.m. prompt) on the 'All Weather' Green. Entrance fee £3.00 per player. Restricted to 64 players. ROUND THE HARBOUR RACE MONDAY 25th AUGUST
A fun handicap race for adults and children in safely - equipped craft up to 16ft long propelled by any means except power. Race starts at 1000 hrs - last start at 1100 hrs. Enter at Dartmouth Yacht Club from 0950 hrs Entry fee £3.00
MANOEUVRING UNDER POWER TUESDAY 26th AUGUST
Open to single screw vessels. Report to BRNC pontoon at your allotted time (1000 - 1200 hrs). Application forms from Dartmouth Yacht Club, 22 South Embankment. Entry fee £5.00
WATERBORNE TREASURE HUNT (9am - 4pm) WEDNESDAY 27th AUGUST
Explore the river and town, crack the clues, and stalk your specimens! Requirements A boat (safely equipped), a crew, a carrier bag. Read your instructions, and then go for it! Return your answers and specimens by 1559 hrs Entry fee £5.00 Trophies and Cash Prizes for a113 events above. Prize giving at 2000 hrs on event day at the Dartmouth Yacht Club.
GOLF TOURNAMENT WEDNESDAY 27th AUGUST
18 hole 'Open' Stableford competition with full handicap allowance played over the Championship Course at the Dartmouth Golf & Country Club.
Open to Ladies, Gentlemen, Seniors and Junior golfers who are members of registered golf clubs. All competitors must have a current` handicap certificate which must be shown on the day.
Gentlemen will play in one division - max. handicap 24 - for the Norton Cup.
There will also be separate prizes for members and visitors. Ladies will play in one division with the Willis Hart Trophy for the best Silver player (0 - 20) and the Smart Trophy for the best Bronze player (21 - 36). (The course will be altered to make the competition a non-qualifier) Seniors over 55 years will have separate prizes. Juniors (under 18 years of age on the previous 1 st January) will have separate prizes and compete in their own competitions. No competitor can win more than one prize.
Entry Fees are £20 per visiting golfer (Juniors half-price).

GRAND DRAW ALL REGATTA PERIOD CASH PRIZES

HARRY SPENCER MEMORIAL TROPHY
The trophy is awarded to the person judged to have made the 'most outstanding sporting effort' by a Dartmothian during the Regatta. Written and signed proposals should be left at the Regatta Information Office. The presentation takes place at the Closing Ceremony.
INTERNATIONAL TROLLEY RACE FRIDAY 29th AUGUST
Races around the Boatfloat. All assemble at 10.00 a.m. Junior start 10.15 a.m. - Senior Start 10.30 a.m. - See Official Programme for competition rules.
KONTIKI RAFT RACE SATURDAY 30th AUGUST
Organised by the Kingswear Committee. Races to take place in Waterhead Creek, Kingswear. For more details see local press and regatta website.
LOCAL ROWING FRIDAY 29th AUGUST
To be rowed in Regatta Whalers and Regatta Blue Boats.
Heats will be rowed on Sunday and Monday, 24th and 25th August, with the Finals on Friday 29th August.
Entry fees for Licensed Victuallers Races -£60.00 per Licensed Premises. No entry fees for other races. Late entries may be ,accepted for races with no heats and less than six entries. No substitutes permitted after the heat has been rowed. Coxswains in Whaler Races must be over 15 years of age on the day.

OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY WEDNESDAY 27th AUGUST
The parade assembles at the Guildhall and will march to the Royal Avenue Gardens, where a maroon will be fired at 7.30 p.m. The Mayor will open the Regatta and invest the Regatta Chairman with the Silver Oar.
PAVEMENT ARTISTS COMPETITION FRIDAY 29th AUGUST
Various classes for children under 15 years of age. All equipment supplied. Sign-In at 11.30 p.m. Contest 1.00 p.m. until 2.00 p.m. See Official Programme for more details.
PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION ALL REGATTA PERIOD
