The beautifully landscaped Royal Avenue Gardens located in the centre of town overlooking the river and inner harbour provide a stunning backdrop for land and water-based activities throughout the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.
The Victorian bandstand and stage host the prestigious opening ceremony and a full programme of entertainment, competition and live music starting from the first Saturday of Regatta week. The packed full weekend will include traditional family entertainment, stalls, live music, Morris Dancers, fairground games! Everything you need for a perfect family day out.
Our traditional Regatta Dog Show also takes place on Saturday. We have lots of classes to enter, lots of dogs, and lots of prizes! Simply turn up with your four-legged friend.
For times of events – pick up a programme from the Information Hut or plan ahead and buy one from one of our local stockists or buy online.
Love colouring? Simply pick up a drawing sheet from either the Dartmouth Yacht Club on South Embankment, or the Regatta Information Hut in Royal Avenue Gardens, and go for it! You can be as outrageous (or subtle) with colour and design as you wish.
All entries will be displayed in the Dartmouth Yacht Club Gun Room from late on Friday afternoon, and the winning entries will be on show in their front windows.

We are sharing the details on this website, but we would encourage you please, please to buy a programme. It’s a great read and full of interesting articles as well as all the detail. We, all volunteers, receive no funding at all, and it costs around £180,000 to stage the event. We need to ensure we can keep Dartmouth Regatta going for years! Thank you!
