ANNUAL PUBLIC MEETING held in the Guildhall

On Friday 26th January 2024

The Chair will be taken at 7.30 pm by the Mayor of Dartmouth

The Mayor will announce that the meeting has been called to receive the accounts for 2023 from the Royal Regatta Committee and to consider arrangements for a 2024 Royal Regatta.


  1. Town Mayor’s opening remarks.
  2. Apologies.
  3. To confirm the minutes of the 2023 Annual Public Meeting.
  4. To receive the Honorary Treasurer’s audited Financial Statement of the 2023 Royal Regatta Committee and report.
  5. To receive the Chairman’s report from 2023.
  6. To confirm that the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta be held in 2024, and that the dates be agreed as Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 29th and 30th and 31st  August, incorporating events throughout the week 24 – 31 Aug 23.
  7. To confirm the 2024 Royal Regatta Committee, with power to add.
  8. To move votes of thanks for continuing support by Devon County Council, South Hams District Council, Dartmouth Town Council, Britannia Royal Naval College and the Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority for the various privileges granted and to request similar facilities for 2024.
  9. Collector of the Year award.
  10. To receive any other business.
  11. To move a vote of thanks to the Mayor for presiding.
